Twin Peaks, San Francisco – best vista point

The Twin Peaks are one of the highest viewpoints in San Francisco. They are located in a residential area near downtown and are freely accessible. They are considered a popular destination for hiking, walking with dogs and are known for the magnificent views.

You can also drive to the top for a view of San Francisco’s most famous landmarks and the Pacific Ocean in the background. Twin Peaks is also a very popular viewpoint in the evening hours. Be sure to wear appropriate clothing, as it can get cold up there.

The Twin Peaks neighborhood is a quiet, somewhat secluded residential area named after two 281-meter-high hills. Tightly built hillside lots with modern homes line the winding streets. A 26-acre grassy park atop the hills is a popular destination. Hiking trails lead from there up the windswept hills, offering panoramic views of the San Francisco Bay Area. Towering high above the neighborhood, the Sutro Tower transmission tower stands on three piers and is part of the skyline.
